Introduction
Across the globe, human consumption of the world's natural resources such as water, fossil fuels and land have increased along with the human population. One huge area to tackle is food.
Despite the strain on resources, we must continue to produce food. This means that the way in which food gets from farm to table must evolve to meet global sustainability objectives.
Students will learn of the various challenges that our planet faces due to the global food system and investigate potential solutions.
The students of today are the decision makers of tomorrow. This programme will encourage innovative thinking, problem solving and global citizenship through sustainable food systems’ education.
