Farm Walk & Talk
Farm Walk and Talk is an interactive series of events for second-level, agricultural science students throughout early March on ten research farms across the country.
While Farm Walk & talk was a brilliant success in its virtual format in 2021, with over 18,000 students involved, everyone is excited to get back to a hands-on experience. This year, all schools that attend the Farm Walk & Talk Events get access to a suite of educational videos from a variety of contributors alongside the comprehensive study notes.
The event has now sold out for tours, with virtual packages still available.
Incredible Edibles 2022
Minister for State at the Department of Education Josepha Madigan was on hand at Airfield Estate in Dundrum to launch Incredible Edibles 2022.
The Minister with responsibility for Special Education and Inclusion was able to sample some homemade soup on the morning, a simple recipe from the Incredible Edibles harvest.
Incredible Edibles is a free, healthy eating and growing project that has been running in Irish primary schools since 2008. In that time, over 500,000 schoolchildren have taken part in the programme. The initiative has grown to cover 1800 schools nationwide with places available on a first come, first served basis.

Sustaining Ireland
Campaign
Agriculture is Ireland’s oldest industry. From our first settlers almost 10,000 years ago, it continues to evolve, tending to crops, caring for animals and providing for its people.
We invite you to learn about our farms, discovering the various people and families who are producing your food, and the environmentally friendly farming methods that they are using to ensure our shared future is protected for generations to come.
