Michael Geary

Congratulations to our Incredible Edibles School of the Week Ms Clifford’s 1st Class, Our Lady of Lourdes, Co Limerick

In task two of the programme, these students were busy learning about the origins of their school dinners and went to a local supermarket to trace where their food is coming from. They took lots of pictures and shared them with all of their parents! They learned a lot about how much food comes from Ireland and which ones have the Bord Bia quality mark. Fantastic work!

Well done all! Obair Iontach!

Incredible Edibles School of the Week Ms Clifford’s 1st Class, from Our Lady of Lourdes, Co Limerick

Ms Clifford’s first class visited their local Lidl supermarket in search for some yummy Irish produce. The teacher explained to us about the Bord Bia quality mark and they kept their eyes peeled for the little Irish love heart. They couldn’t believe how many locally produced foods were in Lidl.

The children then explained all about our task to our principal and vice principal when we came back. They were very impressed! The teacher shared our pictures on their school Facebook page so that all their Moms and Dads can see the cool work they are doing. Their Incredible Edibles grow packs arrived in school today and they can’t wait to plant their seeds!
