Congratulations to our Incredible Edibles School of the Week. Ms Rea’s first Class, Scoil Realt na Mara, in Co Wexford are top of the class this week.
In task three of the Incredible Edibles programme, these students were busy planting their GrowPacks early this month.
They worked as a class to grow their strawberries and potatoes and planted some of their own vegetables in pots.
The children were very clever and sensibly moved their plants inside due to the forecasted sleet and snow. We cannot wait to see how the plants turn out.

Ms Rea’s 1st Class completed the Incredible Edibles task four last week. They made fruit skewers with the class to try get at least four of their seven potions of fruit and vegetables a day.
Ms Rea told us all about her class and how much they enjoyed this task.
They planted our fruits and vegetables at the start of March. The boys and girls in 1st class got to plant their own vegetables in a small plant pot they got in Aldi. The children loved doing this!
They planted the strawberries and potatoes as a whole class. Each child had a job to do and had a blast. They are soon to move them to their outside planting beds but they are going to wait in case any sleet is due to come.
