Agri Aware is on the road once again this time at the renowned Flavours of Fingal this coming weekend at Newbridge House and Farm.

Flavours of Fingal is taking place this Saturday and Sunday, July 1 and 2 and is set to see Agri Aware’s ‘Big Red Shed’ and Farmyard return after the success of Bord Bia’s Bloom in the Phoenix just a few weeks ago.

In its 11th year, Flavours of Fingal is expected to expand further from the 80,000 visitors it had in 2022 and Agri Aware is doing the same, by expanding it’s activities at this year’s show.

Located in the ‘Farmers Field’ Agri Aware will be showcasing all that is good about the Irish agriculture industry, by educating and raising awareness about the crucial role that the farming and agri-food industry play in the Irish economy.

There will be a number of talks and demonstrations throughout the two days while fun agriculture focused educational games will be present for the kids to enjoy and learn from.

Talks will centre on farm safety and what people visiting Flavours of Fingal should be on the look out for and be aware of when it comes to safety on farms which will be further aided with visual aids around the Agri Aware Farmyard through up-to date signage.

Demonstrations meanwhile will include milking a cow by the Agri Aware team and shearing sheep by farmer Donie Anderson.

All of this and more will be at Flavours of Fingal so be sure to call over and talk to the Agri Aware team as we promote greater awareness among the non-farming community of modern agriculture, the environment, animal welfare, food quality and safety.
