Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this event free?
     A: Yes! Open Farm is entirely free no matter which farm you choose to attend! 
Q: Is parking free? Where do I park?
     A: Parking is also free! You will be able to park along the roadside and parking attendants will be there to assist and direct you.
Q: What should I bring on the day? 
     A: Please wear appropriate footwear and outdoor clothing in case of poor weather. 
Q: Can I bring my own food? 
     A: Of course! We encourage you to pack a picnic to enjoy during the day. There will be picnic tables where you can sit and eat your lunch while gazing out into the beautiful countryside.  
Q: If there are farm animals on your farm, should I bring anything for them?
     A: No, we kindly ask that you do not feed any of the animals. 
Q: Can I bring my dog to the Open Farm?
     A: Sorry, you cannot bring your dog to the Open Farm unless it's a certified service dog. 
Q: Will there be activities for children?
     A: Yes, we will have plenty of fun and interactive activities for all ages of children. There will be milk races, face painting, colouring tables, butter discos and more! 
Q: What other things are we going to be able to see? 
     A: There will be cookery demonstrations from celebrity chefs, farm safety demonstrations, machinery and plenty of farm animals to see.
