Agri Aware, thanks to Carroll Consultancy, are excited to announce we are running a new competition, Artistic Animals!
Calling all schools in Connacht, create your own farm animal in your classroom! Use recyclable materials from around your school to create a picture, sculpture, paper mache or any sort of art piece that depicts an Irish farm animal.
Prizes 1st Prize: Agri Aware Mobile Farmvisit to your school A visit from our mobile farmer Pat, who will bring along his baby piglets, lambs, calves, ducks and chicks for you to enjoy for the day! 2nd Prize: Chicken Egg Incubator The chance for your class to hatch your own chicks! 3rd Prize: €150 Eason’s voucher So your class can continue to create!
What you must include: 1. Art piece must include recyclable materials 2.Pictures of students creating the art piece 3. A small description of how your class built it, and what they used 4. 3 fun facts about your chosen farm animal 5. Submit pictures of entry via email or post 6. Make sure to include your school name in the submission
When is the submission deadline? The deadline is Friday the 3rd of May
Challenge tips Pictures Make sure to take plenty of pictures along the process of creating your farm animal.
What materials to use?Anything from around your school could be useful such as old newspapers or magazines. Pupils could also collect materials from home,such as old toiler paper tubes and left over plastic bottles.
Think outside the box The more creative the entry, the better!
