Pasture to Plate is a NEW healthy eating and cookery challenge aimed at Primary School students.
The Challenge is simple:
Create a new type of Irish recipe with your class! This could be a new twist on a local Irish dish or an entirely new recipe altogether!
What's the prize?
SIX Schools will win a visit from a Chef, where your dish will be brought to life!
North Dublin, South Dublin, Leinster, Ulster, Munster, Connacht
What you must include:
Step-by-step instructions on how to make the dish.
A list of ingredients for your dish. Try to use as much Irish products as possible!
Optional: Any health and safety precautions you will need to take when preparing the dish (washing hands, using knives, etc.).
When is the recipe submission deadline? The Deadline is Friday, December 7th 2018
How do I complete this recipe challenge?
Picture book style
Have the students illustrate the steps/ingredients of the recipe
Maybe pair up your students and have them create one step of the recipe for one slide of the PowerPoint. This is a great opportunity to introduce them to technology and PowerPoint
Word Document Format
Again, pair up students to create one step of the recipe on one page of Word. You can then either print out the pages, bind them and mail them into the Agri Aware office or combine all the pages (copy/paste) into one Word document and email it in to us!
Or a combination of any mentioned above!
